Oh yeah!Do u know White Day??It is a day when all things in this world become pure white and no color!!(Just white only)Huh???It is true??Hahahha,it is not actually..hehe.
White Day actually is a day celebrated in Japan (Japan again)sigh*.I don't know why i attract to Japan now days.Supposed,i have to write the title Japan part 1,Japan part 2,part3,part 4 and etc.Err,should I?Ehem,ehem..back to the our topic today.Hurm hurm..(in serious mood). This white day actually celebrated in March 14,one month after the Valentine's Day..Everyone know Valentine right? It is when gf give her bf or whtever they called give them a cookies, chocolate, drink, sweet things...etc.Oh,and bear too (maybe). Not only in Japan,it is also celebrated in South Korea,Taiwan and China..In Malaysia,i don't know.(Because i don't celebrate it,just to tell only)hohoho.
Let begin with White Day in Japan first
In Japan, Valentine's Day is observed by females who present chocolate gifts (either store-bought or handmade), usually to a male, as an expression of love, courtesy or social obligation. The handmade chocolate is usually preferred by the receiver, because it is a sign that the receiving male is the girl's "only one".Wawww..sO lucky. On White Day, the converse happens.Males who received a honmei-choco ( "chocolate of love") or giri-choco ("courtesy chocolate") on Valentine's Day are expected to return the favor by giving gifts, usually more expensive.(pity of them, but girls are lucky..hehe) Traditionally, popular White Day gifts are cookies, jewellery, white chocolate, marshmallows and etc. Sometimes the term sanbai gaeshi ("thrice the return") is used to describe the generally recited rule that the return gift should be two to three times the cost of the Valentine's gift.Hohoho....I prefer White Day..It is better because the gift is MORE expensive, don't u think?Just give guys 'cheap' gift to them...ngeh3.
sO,how about South Korea?
With the men paying back women who have given them chocolate on Valentine's Day with candy instead of chocolate, with an additional later Black Day observed for those sharing singleness.I don't much understand, but it is a little different with Japan.
The original Cd..Eh,mistakes...the Original from..hehe
White Day was first celebrated in 1978 in Japan. It was started by the National Confectionery Industry Association as an "answer day" to Valentine's Day on the grounds that men should pay back the women who gave them chocolate and other gifts on Valentine's Day. In 1977, a Fukuoka-based confectionery company, Ishimura Manseido, marketed marshmallows to men on March 14, calling it Marshmallow Day.
Soon thereafter, confectionery companies began marketing white chocolate. Now, men give both white and dark chocolate, as well as other edible and non-edible gifts, such as jewelry or objects of sentimental value, or white clothing, to women from whom they received chocolate on Valentine's Day one month earlier. If the chocolate given to him was giri-choco, the man, likewise, may not be expressing actual romantic interest, but rather a social obligation.
